Trust and monetization policy
Open Coworking Stack is an independent, community-maintained resource. Inclusion is not endorsement, paid placement in rankings is prohibited, and a recent date is not complete verification.
What must be disclosed
Every material relationship is disclosed before related content is published, including:
- ownership, maintainers with release authority, governance, and repository/content licenses;
- grants, donations, subscriptions, advertising, sponsorship, consulting, training, implementation, support, data licensing, and other project-connected revenue;
- affiliate, referral, tracked, commission-bearing, and credit-bearing links and their beneficiary;
- vendor employment, investment, advisory, reseller, partner, implementation, free-license, hosting credit, travel, gift, early-access, and private-briefing relationships;
- author/reviewer affiliation, conflicts, recusals, and alternate reviewer;
- reader analytics, retention, sharing, sale, licensing, and model-training use;
- material AI assistance and the accountable human reviewer;
- source/evidence type, observation date, completeness, confidence, and unresolved claims;
- ranking method, weights/order, missing-data behavior, and date;
- correction route, disposition, change history, and vendor right to factual reply.
State none when applicable. Silence is not a disclosure.
Independence rules
Vendors cannot buy inclusion, omission, rank, badges, favorable language, verification, backlinks, roadmap priority, or contributor identities. Sponsored content, if ever accepted, must be clearly labeled and separate from catalog evidence. Commercial and open-source tools use the same evidence standard; license class is context, not a quality score.
Comparisons disclose audience, scope, official sources, date, unknowns, and conflicts. Missing facts remain unknown. Vendor claims, certifications, benchmarks, pricing, and testimonials are attributed and do not become independent findings through repetition.
Content-level disclosure

Submit factual corrections with an official source, observed behavior, or reproducible evidence. Do not include personal data or undisclosed vulnerability details. Git history preserves the disposition. Vendors may reply but have no editorial veto; promotional wording and unsupported claims can be rejected. Undisclosed material conflicts can result in claim/link removal, re-review, recusal, or decision reversal.
